Assisted Living in provinces across Canada
Assisted living is termed differently in the provinces Revera operates in, and the assessment required varies too.
In Ontario, our clinical team will conduct an assessment to ensure assisted living will provide you with the right amount of support you need, and may recommend additional services or another lifestyle option if required.
In British Columbia we offer assisted living. Eligibility requires the completion of an assessment by our clinical team based on the services required. We also have retirement homes in British Columbia that are residential care or private residential care homes for individuals that may require more daily care and support.
In Alberta, assisted living is sometimes called supportive living. An assessment will be conducted by our clinical team, who will help determine which lifestyle will provide you with the amount of support you need. We also have retirement home locations in Alberta that offer designated supportive living; eligibility requires support from the regional transition services team along with an assessment from our team. Information on designated supportive living spaces can be obtained by calling HEALTHLink Alberta toll-free at 1-866-408-5465.
In Manitoba, we offer minimal support with activities of daily living through supportive housing which specializes in memory care. Our clinical team, along with the Regional Health Authority will complete an assessment that determines eligibility and support throughout the transition.
In Saskatchewan, a retirement home that has assisted living is known as a personal care home. Our clinical team, along with the Regional Health Authority, will complete an assessment that determines eligibility and support throughout the transition.
Newfoundland and Labrador
In Newfoundland and Labrador, a retirement home that has assisted living is known as a personal care home. Eligibility will be determined by an assessment that is completed by Eastern Health.
