Resident and Family Councils

At Revera, we are committed to operating our long term care homes with transparency and accountability. All of our homes have Resident and Family Councils that provide opportunities to stay engaged in all aspects of the home.

Retirement Home Visit

Resident Councils

Every resident in our long term care homes is invited to join the Resident Council. These councils are for residents only, and provide them with an opportunity to discuss their home and any improvements they would like to see. The Resident Councils advocate on behalf of all the residents who live in the home. They may be supported by staff or volunteers.

Family Councils

Families play a significant role as partners in the care of their loved ones living in a long term care home.

We respect our residents' families and value their contributions and involvement. We encourage them to participate in the home's Family Council, which exists as a separate, autonomous organization, and has proven very effective in building strong ties between families, residents and our teams.
