Thank you letters and messages from residents and family members of our Retirement residences and Long Term Care homes.
This has been my home for going on 4 years. Instead of being alone, cooking and cleaning and no one to talk to all day, I am now surrounded by old friends and new - making me feel active in a friendly community.
No more cooking, shopping and cleaning! Help is available when I need it. I feel safe and comfortable and can still continue with my hobbies - in-home gardening, producing videos, reading and bridge or join in the many community activities.
This is retirement living as it should be - Stew Cornell.
On behalf of all of us, I would like to express all our thanks for all that you have done for mom, and for all that you do each day to care for the very special people who call Stoneridge their home. Daily observation, and your constant willingness to meet with us and discuss anything is clear indication that you work as a team, including all staff, residents, and family members in someone’s care.
The home you made for Mom was a crucial part of her life, but also gave us and in particular Dad, peace of mind while she was there. Over recent years we have all paid increasing attention to sensational media tales of fewer healthcare resources, and long term care issues.
Despite the daily challenges you must face, it is clear that Stoneridge Manor maintains a high standard of care. You work as a team to keep residents comfortable, and you extend a warm welcome to everyone who walks through your doors, whether to stay or just to visit.
Each and every one of you represents an invaluable and important part of our healthcare system. Your care of Mom throughout her stay at Stoneridge was loving, thoughtful and gentle. We want you to know how much we appreciate every single effort that you made to keep mom comfortable and
happy during the time she spent at Stoneridge, and in particular at the end of her life.
Mom was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend to each of us, and while visiting her at Stoneridge we were reminded that long term care facilities are home for many kind and caring mothers.
Please accept this painting (print) as a tribute to all the wonderful mothers in our world and especially to those lucky enough to pass through your doors on their journey through life. With love and appreciation for Mom's excellent care, and with much encouragement to keep doing what you do.

A note of appreciation for the outstanding efforts, dedication and professionalism exhibited by your staff during the recent flu outbreak.
It was all hands-on deck day and night by your Dover Cliffs family to care for our family members and return them to good health.
Heartfelt thanks! Words cannot express our appreciation for your efforts.
From the very beginning of Mom’s stay at Valleyview, and then through all the years and all the ups and downs, my entire family and I never once had to worry, knowing that she would receive only the very best care - that she would be safe and that a great many continuous efforts large and small would go into making her daily living as comfortable and happy as possible.
Words cannot express the thanks and gratitude we feel toward each and every one of you at Kildonan Care Centre. The care, kindness and compassion you showed towards our Aunt, was so special and so appreciated.
It is one of the most difficult jobs to be caring for adults who are unable to care for themselves. I believe it takes special people who possess kindness, compassion and a good sense of humour to be successful when caring for vulnerable people. These are all the attributes we experienced with your staff at Poseidon Care Centre.
The residents at Garden City Manor are truly privileged because every staff member gives and cares without exception or constraint.
You guys have taught me so much! You enrich my life every day. I love this place.
This note is to express the appreciation of our entire family for the years of kindness and loving care provided to my mother…by the wonderful staff at McGarrell Place.
