Dr. Rhonda Collins was the first Chief Medical Officer in the senior living sector in Canada. She has spent the past decade of her career focused on improving the lives of older adults. She is passionate about demystifying dementia, abolishing ageism and squashing stigma.
Dr. Collins is a family physician with a certificate of added competence in Care of the Elderly from the College of Family Physicians of Canada. She is a graduate of the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine at McMaster University, where she is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Family Medicine. She currently serves as Vice President of Ontario Long Term Care Clinicians, as well as the Chair of the Medical Director Course Committee and served a four-year term on the Board of Directors for Alzheimer Society Niagara. She is currently pursuing an Executive Master of Business Administration.
