Revera Walks
the Walk for
Arthritis
When the crowd gathered in
Victoria, B.C., for the 4
th
Annual
Walk to Fight Arthritis on June
8,
Revera made sure everyone
got off to a rousing start. Paula
Hosking, Director of Recreation
at Revera’s Parkwood Court,
led the warm-up and cheers, as
part of our energetic support of
the cause which included three
area communities – Parkwood
Court, Parkwood Place and The
Kensington.
The enthusiasm was also evident
a few days earlier, when The
Kensington hosted a barbecue
for registrants, complete with a
Mexican Hat Dance to celebrate
and generate additional
donations. Several residents even
staged their own neighbourhood
walk. “They were proud we were
sponsors,” says Amber Reis,
Executive Director, at Revera’s
The Kensington.
The sponsorship was part of
Community in Action, Revera’s
program to support the causes
and organizations that matter
most to Revera’s communities,
clients and employees, and that
ultimately help seniors live their
lives to the fullest.
Joint effort: Residents,
families and staff
hit the road to raise
money and awareness
for arthritis.
