For our residents’ safety and peace of mind, Revera has invested
$55 million to outfit all of our retirement and long term care homes
with sprinklers.
Leading the way in fire safety earned Revera the honour of hosting a
major Ontario government announcement at our Annex Retirement
Residence in Toronto. Ontario’s Minister of Community Safety and
Correctional Services reported that the province will make automatic
sprinklers mandatory in licensed retirement homes by 2019 and
long term care homes by 2025.
Revera is proud to have completed the installations well ahead of the
province’s deadlines, and other organizations that offer accommodation
and care. It’s further proof of our commitment to safety.
Getting older,” says Marion Mills, “is only a state of mind.” This 83-year-old former librarian is
a bridge aficionado, workout fan, theatre goer and computer whiz – she’s now busier than ever.
Marion personifies
Age is More
Revera’s social cause to challenge ageist stereotypes
and to celebrate the ageless spirit.
I’ve asked friends what
Age is More
means to them,” says Marion. “More compassion for
others, more wisdom, more willingness to explore new adventures. My gratitude list gets
longer every day.”
age is just a number!
Marion Mills tells us why she thinks that way.
