Caring for a child can be difficult, especially when the child is medically fragile. We take a family-centred approach to providing care. First, we learn about your family’s beliefs and values, and then directly involve you in planning, setting goals and evaluating the services your child receives from us.
We provide the education you require regarding your child’s condition; help you with medical treatments such as central line management, wound management and medication administration; provide advice about suitable resources in your community to support you; and advocate on your child’s behalf.
We also offer prenatal education, support for new parents learning to care for their newborn, as well as health care assistance for older children in school, at camp, or in a daycare setting.
