Our Leadership Team

Mr. Gagnon has over 25 years experience in senior financial roles across a number of industries including telecommunications, media, software and manufacturing. Prior to joining Revera in 2009, Mr. Gagnon was the Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Husky Injection Moulding Systems Limited, the world's largest brand name supplier of injection molding equipment and services to the plastics industry. He is a Chartered Accountant and graduated with honours from Concordia University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and from McGill University with a Diploma in Public Accounting.

Mr. Hamilton joined Revera in 1999 as Vice President of Development and Construction and was responsible for the development of more than 20 new retirement and long term care projects. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Hamilton worked in various senior positions at Cadillac Fairview, where he was involved in hotel, office, and retail development and construction. Mr. Hamilton is a Professional Engineer and holds a Masters of Business Administration from York University.

Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Kaniuk held a variety of senior management roles with Revera, including Vice President of Canadian Long Term Care Operations and Senior Director of Development. Mr. Kaniuk has over 30 years experience in the long term care sector, and before joining Revera, held various senior positions with an established Toronto-based long term care management firm. He has an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto, and is a recent alumnus of the Queen’s School of Business Executive Program.

Mr. Kirsh joined Revera in 2008 as Executive Vice President of Real Estate, overseeing asset management, capital investment, acquisitions, dispositions and development for the company. He was appointed Executive Vice President of Retirement Services in June 2010. Mr. Kirsh has over 15 years experience with multi-unit housing, including executive positions with GWL Realty Advisors and MetCap Living, as well as positions with Brazos Advisors. He holds an Honours Business Administration (HBA) and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario.

Janet Ko has more than 20 years experience in communications and public affairs. She has held managerial and executive roles in life sciences and the pharmaceutical industry, including positions at Pharmacia and GlaxoSmithKline. Prior to joining Revera in 2010, Ms. Ko was Senior Vice President of Global Communications for MDS Inc., a publicly traded company with operations in 27 countries. Ms. Ko received her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English and History and a Masters of Arts in Journalism from The University of Western Ontario. She also holds a Queen’s University Certificate in Organization Development.
