Environmental Responsibility
Recognizing the importance of reducing our carbon footprint and conserving resources, Revera continually looks for ways to manage our water and energy use.
- Throughout our residences, replacing toilets, spray valves and showerheads with low-flow models has decreased our water consumption by 136 million litres in three years – enough to fill 43 Olympic-sized swimming pools.
- To save electricity in our residences, we’re replacing incandescent light bulbs with compact fluorescent lights or LED lighting, and replacing existing fluorescent tube lighting with more efficient tubes.
- We’re conserving natural gas in many of our buildings by automating how we control heating and cooling systems, and replacing older, atmospheric boilers with more energy efficient models.
